WORKS ELABORATION：
The intervention of fibers makes the porcelain as flexible as ink. The work reform a context of cursive calligraphy by virtue of“fragile and solid”porcelain. Using porcelain mud as the main material to jointly create a natural imagination of landscape virtual spirit, and present the poetic realm of Chinese calligraphy by using the layout of writing, the shape and quality of words, the flow of lines, the shade of glaze, and the clarity and transparency of porcelain. Through the work, I hope to inspire people to think about the current phenomenon of writing.
TUTOR COMMENT：
Cursive script is the most perceptual and expressive script in the Chinese calligraphy system. This work focuses on the perspective of space in cursive writing which is common but unique in its cultural history, artistic style and spiritual connotation. The formal elements of cursive script are extracted as the main expression of the work, the plane is transformed into a three-dimensional, the narrative becomes a space and a field, and the black and white soft expression becomes fragile and pure. The presentation of this process itself has a very Chinese way of creative thinking and expressive significance. Especially in the aesthetic expression of cursive form elements and the reference of the decorative language of cursive form elements, the expression is more personal. In the practice of the production and molding process of porcelain clay, the ability to solve problems and improve the molding process has been shown, so that this group of works has formed a better field and individual artistic integrity.
