WORKS ELABORATION:
In June 2014, my best friend passed away from drowning. A few months before the accident, he had said that before I went to college, he would save up to buy a car and send me to college. I regret that I didn't leave a photo of him. I drew this portrait based on my impressions, but I couldn't draw a ten-thousandth of the charm. The more I recall, the more my memory flickers.
In November 2014, my grandfather also died of drowning. From childhood to adulthood, my deepest memories with my grandfather happened in front of the gate of my hometown. He always likes to sit on a small stool and talk about the importance of being literate. He wants me to study hard and be admitted to university. At that time, he will feel good when chatting with others.
TUTOR COMMENT:
The long-lasting question of whether teenager or old, to be or not to be has always been a strong source of power. This power will constitute solid space-time imprints in memory and experience. Chen Hongxun bring them in front of us with painting. When our eyes swept between the concave and bumpy outlines on the picture, we would hear the sound of silent water.
