TUTOR COMMENT：
In a picture full of familiar visual elements but also sci-fi, we can clearly feel that collective memory is a major clue of Bao-Lin Chen's works, and the composition of virtual scenes makes his works reveal some surreal aesthetic characteristics under the fresh surface.
In Bao-Lin Chen's works, important figures, schemas, objects and colors in the memory repeatedly flash as different roles, which are deliberately arranged to present a kind of stability and calmness after inspection, as well as the power conflicts that are constantly discovered. Obviously, this work requires us to spend some time in front of it and gradually peel off the numerous visual and cognitive barriers set up in order to get an interpretation. I believe this is also the main intention and core value of Bao-Lin Chan's current creation.
