WORKS ELABORATION:
"A home that is not defined, constantly reconfigured, formatted, home can be any space."
In the mindset of millennials, "home" is not only a place to live, but also a place for creative exchange with peers, social display of personality, and mapping of self-identity. At the same time, the emergence of automated devices and information networks has also brought about many changes in the function and mode of residence. The "template of home" is no longer a single ideal state.
How to use technology to carry more functions in a limited space? How to give young people's homes richer meanings and layers?
By studying the functional blocks and human behavior patterns in the house, the author envisions a future home, designing blocks at different time scales to form an initial spatial layout of S/M/L. After a period of use, the space is formatted and restored with the help of network automation technology, and reorganized into a new home based on personal settings.
TUTOR COMMENT:
Ziwei Chi's graduation project discussed how the interior space design of collective housing can meet the needs of individual diversity today. Under the background of the development of digital and Internet technology, the possibility of digital and computer application in environmental design is emphatically investigated. The topic selection is forward-looking and has strong theoretical and time value. A large amount of data was collected and analyzed for the specific needs of the researchers, and a set of innovative and effective design strategies were put forward. The final work is rich in results, diverse in forms, and beautiful in drawing expression, and it is an excellent graduation design work, which is hereby recommended.
