WORKS ELABORATION:
This research is aimed at proposing a manufacturing method of stretchable physical color-changing materials. The kind of color has the good display effect in outdoor or strong light environment, and easy to product, which provides a new thinking for realizing intelligent color-changing materials.
TUTOR COMMENT:
The author explores the relationship of optics and color by view of materials micro-structure in the theory and thinking of Design Morphology, and computational design is used to explore the control of material properties in micro-structure to achieve color change. In the research process, the author integrated design research, programming algorithm, material research, 3D printing and other thinking methods and technology, finally realizing the function that material can change color through the fabrication of stretchable material. This research has made bold exploration for the research and application of Design Morphology, and opened up a new direction. Meanwhile, it has also explored a new mode and method for interdisciplinary research.
