WORKS ELABORATION:
Energy Cube,themed with the popularizing energy knowledge, the work, chooses four kinds of typical power stations as the carrier, puts out a set of modular building block products and AR interactive application, in virtue of the combination of product design with AR interaction. The power station, after assembled, will illustrate the working condition of the power station via the form of component action and light feedback. With the well-furnished AR, more interesting energy knowledge will be acquired based on the applied the scanned product. In addition to science population function on energy knowledge, Energy Cube, as an energy power station, can be used as a modular wireless charger which can provide wireless charging function for electronic products around the users.
TUTOR COMMENT:
Zhang Jianting' s graduation project can be defined as a product design and research on the energy knowledge popularization oriented with primary and secondary school students. He chooses four kinds of energy knowledge fire power, water conservancy supply, wind power and nuclear power as the content of science popularization.
His work, which takes the product design of a series of modular dynamic interactive energy cube as a form of popular science, is characterized by certain creativity of implementation and interesting. Accordingly, it can perfectly illustrate the expert knowledge into public knowledge of popular science connotation. Moreover, Zhang Jianting is also endowed with both engineering design thinking and artistic expression, so he is able to conduct independent implementations , ranging from energy knowledge research, popular science product design, hardware structure design, circuit design production , fabrication and assembly, interaction and interface design, up to product packaging design. With extremely satiated working load, he is enthusiastic throughout the working process. That accounts for his profound and appealing design results.
