WORKS ELABORATION:
Insects are one of the most fascinating creatures in the world, not only do they have a variety of postures, but they also have different physiological behaviours. This work takes insects as the main element, uses the natural environment as the background, and uses three-dimensional embroidery techniques to present a series of embroidered wall pieces. The colours are based on the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, with a colour palette that is characteristic of each season, and a colour palette that draws on recent fashion trends to harmonise and blend with each other. The work explores the influence of the theme of life on the creation of textile art by finding new expressions and meanings for insect images.
TUTOR COMMENT:
This graduation project takes the form of an embroidered wall decoration, using a variety of insect images as the material and adopting a presentation of insects plus background environment, focusing on the colour design and fabric texture in the creation. The work is entirely handmade and uses a variety of embroidery techniques to give a vivid expression to the three-dimensional insect embroidery. The overall appearance of the work is exquisite. The work fits well with the theme and design concept of insects, and has a good display and aesthetic value, providing new ideas for the expression of insect-themed fiber art works.
