WORKS ELABORATION：
My work draws on the growth of plants to create. Plants are beautiful, so what does the alien shape created through transparent materials make people think? What's behind the phantasmagoria manifested by transparent materials? I hope to use a visual form with tension to explore the expressive potential of artistic language, reveal the hidden power in materials, and guide individual life's perception of nature and thinking about life and the present through creation.

Wu Qian is a diligent and conscientious student. She has always struggled with her undergraduate non-sculpture background. During her postgraduate studies, her lack of self-confidence has always accompanied her. However, it is this kind of professional leap that enables her to have more choices and creations. In the personal space of less than 4 square meters in the postgraduate classroom, with nearly two years of continuous practice and experimentation, I have found and constructed my own dream of "growing and dying" of transparent plants.
The work "Growing Is Disappearing" selects transparent plexiglass materials, and explores the possibility of work creation from the aspects of material language, concept communication, and space presentation. Wu Qian hopes to arouse viewers' thoughts on nature, life and the current state through the visual effects presented between the material modeling and the environment.
I worked hard to achieve my dream. At the time of graduation, my work changed from fantasy to reality. Under the illumination of light, the work presented us with a scintillating and gorgeous scene. The expression of artistic concept. The work has been well received by everyone, and won the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts Outstanding Work Award and the Tsinghua University Outstanding Achievement Award. For Wu Qian, these honors are not only an affirmation of her works, but also a kind of praise from the teacher for her efforts. I hope Wu Qian can use this as a starting point to build confidence, start a new artistic journey, and complete her artistic dream.
