WORKS ELABORATION:
This work is soft and needs to be laid flat or hung on the wall for preservation. It can be rolled up for short-term transport but rolling it up for long-term storage will damage the work. There are several small hanging rings made of silk on the upper back of the work, which can be hooked on nails or worn on transparent threads when hanging. Which hanging rings are to be used depends on the materials used in the exhibition, in order to correctly show the radian of the upper part of the work.
TUTOR COMMENT:
Wang Yihan's graduation creation "Wildness" is a large-scale print, which combines copperplate etching, tie-dyeing, hand embroidery, blow molding paper and other mixed media. It not only breaks through the existing boundary of printmaking's materials and media, but also reaches beyond the perception of printmaking. In her obsessive pursuit of "handicraft", she gives the material a kind of artistic spirit, allowing her "natural feelings" to be fully expressed. This work is one of a few outstanding works from studio teaching in recent years.
