WORKS ELABORATION:
My father is a road and bridge builder. During my childhood, my family spent most of our time on construction sites, where I saw the frogs in the grass, the chickens raised on the construction site, the bending machine chugging along, the white fog coming out of workers’ water pipes, and the bridges that coming into form……I worry that I will forget this particular memory, so I check with my parents from time to time to make sure that my memories are recollected.
I was there, and my parents were there. I often want to find some support from this memory of time – every trace of those that made me who I am today, and I will cherish them in my heart.
TUTOR COMMENT:
Wen Xin gave me a deep impression in the Jade Carving class, as firstly, she says less than she thinks; secondly, she is serious about her studies; and thirdly, the assignments she completed exceeded my expectations. In addition, I was able to deepen my impression of her during the supervision process. From her initial creation idea, I could feel that the memory of childhood was so deeply imprinted in her heart that she could hardly bear to forget it. When I see the finished graduation work, I am so happy for her! Although the pandemic made her work less perfectly completed, what I value most in the work is her true heart! What makes her graduation work so moving is her accurate perspective and the use of the right form to present the images of a pure young heart.
